  • About Eledeemed

In 2021 I went to my first single mom's conference. I was new at this single mom thing and had started a new life with child in tow, just me and him. I remember thinking I would need to get to know other single mom's because I did NOT have a clue what I was doing! It turned out to be one of the best decision's I have ever made! During the conference, Pastor Kelly was on stage and begin to speak about the elephant rope story (please read below). When he had finished speaking, I knew he was talking about me! I had been conditioned to believe that my life would never get better and there was no hope for me. That night was the beginning of a freedom I had never known before. The freedom of being set free. A lot of God's love has been poured into my life since that day, and God has been showing me how to not only know that He loves me, but receive it too! I started giving my testimony the same year. A song I choose to play because it means so much to me is Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave. I know, by the grace of God, that I have been redeemed. With the broken chains from the Elephant Story and the song I hold dear, Eledeemed was born. God has given me this new name and story to tell. I pray that you will find freedom and begin to break chains. Be inspired, be eledeemed.

  • The Elephant Story

As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not. He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.” The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us are conditioned by our childhood trauma or any event that may have captured our thoughts? Conditioned in one way or another, we believe the lie, there is no hope. I can assure you, there is hope and his name is Jesus! Freedom from the rope of my elephant mentality and redeemed by our Lord Jesus Christ, I am Eledeemed.
